Plot Storyline

Alice and Louis are estranged siblings who have been avoiding each other for over twenty years and are forced to reunite after a tragedy.

Long-standing sibling rivalry: Louis and Alice Vuillard are the titular "brother and sister". The writer and the actress have been avoiding each other for 20 years and no longer exchange a word.
