Plot
Storyline
Based on a true story, it is about a struggling young father (Baldwin) who can no longer support his wife and family, falling in with a beginning group of white supremacists led by a man (Gallagher) who is obsessed with the "takeover of the Country by whites." All goes well until the shooting starts and this moves Baldwin to turn against the group.
A family man in dire financial straits befriends Robert Matthews, the real-life white supremacist who took the Pacific Northwest hostage with his organization, The Order, in the 1980's. Initially finding solace and shelter, Tom Martinez eventually becomes disillusioned at his crazy friend's antics, and his Robin Hood-style hypocrisy crosses the line for him. Eventually, Tom begins the hard work of towing the fine line between maintaining his friendship with an increasingly unstable Matthews and informing for the FBI. The film ends in a fiery shootout with the FBI which ends the life of Matthews at the young age of 31.
