Chains

The place is an underground society of approximately two hundred humans calling themselves the rubbish dwellers, whose existence is much more bleak than the golden ones who live above ground. Underground, water is a scarce and precious resource. Munk, the society leader, places couple Chain and Fric on trial for growing a yellow gerbera daisy, which required them to use water for no practical purpose. A tenet of the society also states that beauty, such as in a flower, distracts from the tasks associated with the basic goal of survival. If convicted, they will be severely sentenced apropos to the specifics of the crime itself. Chain tries to argue their case from multiple perspectives, which if she succeeds would throw the entire belief system of the society out the window.
