Chronicles of a Wandering Saint

In the quiet, rural village of Santa Rita, Rita Lopez, a deeply religious, 60-something woman who works as a chapel keeper. Despite her piety, Rita harbors an insatiably competitive streak and yearns for the community's admiration. When she discovers an old, forgotten religious statue in the church storeroom, she hatches a plan with her spacey but loyal husband, Norberto, to fake a miracle. They alter the statue to look like the town's long-lost reliquary of Saint Rita of Cascia, aiming to stage its "miraculous" discovery. However, right before the big unveiling, a sudden and massive narrative twist alters Rita's reality, forcing her to look at her life, her husband, and her small town from an entirely new perspective.
