Paloma, a single mother in her mid-30s, and her 15-year-old son Hector, who share an unusually close, playful bond during a quiet, out-of-season vacation at a nearly empty seaside hotel. Their days are filled with sunbathing, swimming, and companionship, and Paloma enjoys being both mother and best friend to her son. That dynamic begins to shift when Jazmin, a girl Hector's age, arrives on holiday. As Hector develops a crush - and then deeper feelings - for Jazmin, Paloma experiences growing anxiety and discomfort as she watches her son's attention and affections move toward first love and away from their once-intimate relationship.
