Plot
Storyline
Three tales of mystery, imagination and terror.
A trio of mystery and/or horror stories are told, the tie between the three being precipitating incidents taking place in the dead of night. In "Second Chance", college senior Frank Cantrell has just restored a Jordan Playboy roadster, the story he told of its history being that it was involved in an accident in 1926 which killed the driver and passenger. On his first drive into town one evening using the old back road which used to be the main highway, Frank, upon arriving in town, comes to the realization that he has passed a time warp back to 1926. As such, he may be a part of possibly changing what happens that evening and the thus the course of history. In "No Such Thing as a Vampire", it's the turn of the nineteenth into twentieth centuries. Alexis awakens in horror to discover two bleeding puncture marks on her neck, she and her husband, Dr. Gheria, who believe she has been attacked by a vampire in the middle of the night. These occurrences continue, Dr. Gheria too with these puncture marks leading to all but one of their servants quitting and news going around town of a vampire. To save himself and Alexis, Dr. Gheria calls in the assistance of their friend, Michael. Can Michael save them or is there something else going on? And in "Bobby", grief stricken Alma has turned to the occult to bring back her son Bobby, who died in an accidental drowning. One stormy evening while her husband John is away, Alma discovers that Bobby has indeed returned, he having been found on the beach by strangers and he with no memory of the incident itself. Over the course of that evening, the true nature not only of Bobby's return but his "drowning" is revealed.
