Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun

In Inquisition-era Portugal, Maria Rosalea, a virginal 16-year-old peasant girl, is falsely accused of sin by a corrupt priest after being caught kissing a boy in the woods. Without delay, the depraved cleric extorts her mother's life savings and forces Maria into the nearby Serreda Iris cloister to continue his plan undisturbed.
