Landkrimi: Drachenjungfrau

At the foot of the mighty Krimml Waterfalls lies a dead girl: Lena Striegler, 15, winner of the preliminary round of the grand Austrian Marketenderinnen Award. Everything points to suicide, if it weren't for the heart-shaped stone that someone must have placed in the dead Lena's hand. Detective Martin Merana (Manuel Rubey) is asked to look into the matter while on his way to vacation, so to speak. The workaholic Merana doesn't mind, as he has mixed feelings about going on vacation with his girlfriend. Commitments are not his thing - vacations even less so. His return to Krimml, the home of his spiritually gifted grandmother (Christine Ostermayer), holds surprises. One of them is his growing interest in the rustic police commander Heilmayr (Stefanie Reinsperger), who is actually not his usual type of woman at all. The other is the mystery of the case, which seems to refer to the mystical secrets of the legend of the dragon maiden. Two things quickly become clear to Merana: it must have been murder. And: there will be no vacation.
