Storyline
After years of making movies, the King made a triumphant return to the stage in 1970. Now, see the backstage footage from rehearsals to relaxing at the hotel and the performances in one of the most intimate looks at Elvis captured on film.
The filmed account of rock and roll giant Elvis Presley begins at the singer's headquarters on the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer lot, as he prepares for his first concert tour since 1957 and an upcoming appearance at the "Elvis Summer Festival" in the Las Vegas International Hotel. Intercut with the musical numbers are interviews with admiring fans, who try to explain the singer's appeal and significance, and scenes of the fifth annual Elvis Presley Appreciation Society Convention in Luxembourg. The last half of the film is devoted to the Las Vegas appearance and includes shots of Presley fans Cary Grant, Juliet Prowse, Xavier Cugat, Charro, Rona Barrett, and Sammy Davis, Jr.
