Eve of the Irises is a historical biographical doc-film that animates the figure of the scientist Eva Mameli Calvino, the first Italian botanist and environmentalist, giving us the opportunity to learn about her life as a scholar, a dreamer, a courageous person, to learn about her discoveries and her challenges and get involved in her life as a woman and a mother of special children like Italo and Floriano. It will be Eva's personality that will stimulate and accompany her children to their own fulfillment: Italo has been one of the greatest writers of the 20th century and her brother Floriano one of the most authoritative international geologists.
