In the 1980s, the Jarocin Rock Music Festival became a mecca for young Poles who loved music "that wasn't on TV." Every year, the small town in the Kalisz Voivodeship experienced an influx of Polish music fans. They came from all over Poland: punks in studded leather jackets and colorful hairstyles, shaved skinheads, long-haired heavy metalheads, hippies, and those without uniforms. The 1985 festival was recorded by filmmakers from the Karol Irzykowski Studio. This led to the creation of the feature-length documentary "Fala," which portrays the Jarocin rock music festival through the eyes of the participating youth, the city authorities of the time, and representatives of social organizations. Two perspectives, two completely different visions of the world.
