Plot
Storyline
Two filmmakers must set aside their history to film a crucial scene. Egos clash and tensions rise as everything unravels before day's end. A film that could only have been made once, shot sequentially, without takes, always in character.
"Film This!" follows a single day on a chaotic film set of dubious quality from the point of view of the behind-the-scenes camera. As the crew scrambles to shoot a key scene of their film, tensions rise, tempers flare, and nothing goes according to plan. At the center of the unraveling production is the Assistant Director, played by Fabio Alves, who has a personal score to settle with the Director, Bruno Vieira. Their unresolved past resurfaces just as the set descends into confusion, culminating in a raw confrontation that blurs the line between their roles and their real-life conflict. Caught in the middle are the actors, Sara Cecilia and Joao Moniz, trying to keep up as reality and fiction start to blend. The film was shot sequentially over the course of one day in an experimental mockumentary without traditional takes. The cast and crew were given only fragments of the script and minimal direction. Their genuine confusion and frustration were captured in real time, resulting in a story that feels unpredictable and unfiltered. "Film This!" is a unique indie film that invites the audience to question what is real and what is performance.
