Greening the Desert

In Burkina Faso, changing weather patterns provoked by climate change, combined with over-farming and over-grazing, have turned once fertile lands into desert, degrading up to two-thirds of the land in some places. This film tells the story of how a group of subsistence farmers on the edge of the Sahel in Burkina Faso's Central Plateau are battling climate change and decide to re-green the desert with their own hands - with amazing results.
