House of the Long Shadows

The successful American writer Kenneth Magee travels to London to meet his publisher Sam Allyson and Magee bets with him that he is able to write a novel in twenty-four hours provided he has an adequate environment. Sam offers the derelict Welsh Bllyddpaetwr Manor to him and Magee accepts the bet. On the arrival, he meets the weird Victoria Grisbane and her father Lord Elijah Grisbane and they tell him that they are the housekeepers. Then Magee stumbles upon Sam's secretary Mary Norton. Subsequently he meets Lionel Grisbane and his brother Sebastian Grisbane and there is a reunion of the Grisbane family to release their notorious brother Roderick Grisbane at midnight, Roderick committed a murder forty years ago and the family sentenced him to stay locked in a room. Out of the blue, the travelers Andrew Caulder and his wife Diana Caulder seek shelter from the stormy night in the manor. A man named Corrigan also arrives and says that he is buying the manor and saw movement inside, so he has decided to investigate what is happening. At midnight, they head to the locked room and find that Roderick has escaped. Soon, he starts a crime spree in the mansion, killing the guests one by one.
