Plot
Storyline
Humorist Robert Benchley illustrates the fine points of attending an American football game.
As a man listens to a football game on the radio in the comfort of his own home, with a drink and pipe in hand and sitting in his easy chair, he remembers back to a time when he actually attended a football game. Beyond the problem of trying to find his seat, he was continually bothered by his unknowledgeable female companion who incessantly asked questions about the game, the person beside him on the other side who was a little too excitable to the point of not knowing the bounds of personal space, the drunkard behind him who continually used his shoulders as a footrest, and the person in front of him who always blocked his view during key plays in the game. Add some developing vision problems and Mother Nature, and he's glad this time he's at home listening to the game.
