Hugo & Rosa

Hugo chops his wood and carries water from the well even though he is almost a hundred years old. Rosa takes out the accordion with a twinkle in her eye, lights the kerosene lamp and sits down on the kitchen sofa where she was born. Hugo turned 101 and Rosa 96. No one who met Hugo and Rosa was untouched. They were the last of nine siblings who grew up on the farm, they were hardworking but happy. Small and wrinkled, but always with a twinkle in their eye. Who were they, the slightly odd pair of siblings in the typically Swedish red cottage with white knots? Filmmaker Bengt Jagerskog became close friends with the pair of siblings during the ten years he followed them and managed to create a unique relationship that meant they often completely forgot about the camera.
