The Horizon

18-year-old Adja (Tracy Gotoas) lives with her family in a Parisian suburb. For her and her best friend, influencer Sabira (Niia), having fun is the top priority; neither of them has any interest in politics or similar issues. They make fun of the environmental protests taking place on the streets of their neighborhood. When the girl gets to know Arthur (Sylvian Le Gall) better, she soon feels attracted to him. However, they come from very different backgrounds and Adja initially has no understanding for his great commitment as an activist. Together with his friends, he has even occupied a construction site in the hope of having the area declared an environmentally protected zone. Slowly, she gets to know the environmentalists, and the background to the protests in particular changes Adja's perspective: Arthur's family is also to be evicted from their land because the government wants to build a huge leisure complex there. Although her family does not understand her, the girl becomes a staunch supporter of the protest.
