"Flick from France" and "veteran French actress Carole Laure" are unfortunate geographical error readings in the first review that should have been avoided. There were sufficient sociological markers that should have placed the movie in the mind of the reviewer in a typical North-American setting. The linguistic markers were equally strong and do not at all fit into a European context. It's a shear miracle that the review turns out to be a review at all, favorable at it is, without any other major glitches. I would agree with this reviewer conclusion that Laure's contribution to "Cinema" is a " well crafted, smartly done package"... from Quebec.
