The Book of Wonders

The life of single mother and warehouse worker Thelma (Alexandra Lamy) changes abruptly when her twelve-year-old son Louis (Hugo Questel) is hit by a car while skateboarding and falls into a coma. The doctors offer her little hope. Then Thelma finds a sketchbook belonging to her son, who is a huge fan of a Japanese manga artist. In the style of his idol, Louis has drawn "10 Things to Do Before the End of the World." Among these items is apologizing to his classmate Amara (Clara Caneshe). He also wants to find out who his father is. And he dreams of having his skateboard signed by that very famous manga artist. Thelma now wants to work through this bucket list on Louis's behalf. She hopes that when she tells him about it afterward, he'll wake up from his coma. Thelma sets off on an incredible journey across the globe that, quite unexpectedly, also gives her own life new meaning.
