Commissioner Mendoza leads an operation to prevent the port of Barcelona from serving as a transit point for drug trafficking to the Americas. Inspector Andres Bellido launches his investigation following the murder of a Galician emigrant who was about to set sail for the Americas carrying a package of unknown contents. His killer is an Italian man—a rival of the "Dolls Gang," named for the method they use to conceal heroin. Before dying, the Italian (a member of Carlo "Lucky" Luciano's clan) asks for help from his lover, Monique, a model at a high-fashion atelier. Gisela, another model and the daughter of a drug addict, conducts her own investigation to avenge her father's death.
