1980s Benidorm, Spain. For months, tourists from the four corners of the world have been flocking to enjoy its sandy beaches. But now, with the sun rising later and summer nearing its end, the season is almost over for the colourful coastal city. However, Philip, a young Dutch architect interested in the resort's controversial modern architecture, is another story. As a series of encounters with hot skater girl Ana soon shift his focus away from his thesis, Lola Clavijo, a flamboyant nightclub singer, and her no-nonsense secretary, Marga, arrive in town, looking for golden opportunities. In the meantime, Benidorm's ambitious Romeos try to score with the remaining tourists, and a local professional bodybuilder dreams of finding true love. Then, Juana, a disenchanted mother of two who hasn't heard from her husband in years, is on the verge of finding closure. As the last restaurants and discos close down for the season, it will take months before the first thong returns to Benidorm.
