The Daughters of Fire

In this lesbian-feminist porn road movie, a couple who reunite in Ushuaia add a new member to what becomes a polyamorous trio. Together, they set out on an initiatory journey through Argentine Patagonia in a stolen old school bus that soon transforms into a collective voyage. As they advance, others join them and they build a community where pleasure, solidarity, and sexual exploration overflow all norms. Carri's camera captures diverse bodies in explicit sex scenes that celebrate the autonomy of desire and give free rein to fantasy. Awarded at the BAFICI and LesGaiCineMad, the film functions as a sensory essay through its sound composition, its images, and its references to utopian mythologies, amplified by scenes of collective organization in the face of violence.
