Les Criminelles lifts the veil on the lives of sex workers. Three themes are treated on Les Criminelles: Why is public nudity offensive to so many people, when raw sexuality is repeatedly featured in TV series? Why is the social acceptability of prostitution impossible when, sometimes, the thing is done between consenting adults, in a respectful manner? What are the consequences of this social hypocrisy on violence against women and on public health?
