Plot
Storyline
Slawek Wisnik (Rafal Olbrychski) is a young, ambitious musician who wants to play classical music. Unfortunately, he doesn't receive the coveted scholarship. So he decides to start his career by making disco-polo music.
Slawek Wisnik (Rafal Olbrychski) is a graduate of the conservatory in the organ class. He wants to develop his talent abroad, but he doesn't get the coveted scholarship in Heidelberg Music School (Germany). He is forced to return to his small hometown of Kaliszewo. Slawek's girlfriend Agnieszka Nowak (Monika Kwiatkowska) seems to be happy about Slawek's failure, and she plans to marry him quickly. Therefore, her father Zenon Nowak (Jerzy Trela) offers Slawek to run their family business, because Slawek and Agnieszka are going to get married soon anyway, and then they will officially be a family. However, Slawek doesn't like it. He wants to be a musician. So he accepts a job as an organist in his hometown, and soon after he sets off to play disco-polo music and achieve the desired musical success.
