This is the film about woman's autumn.Her photo was published in numerous newspapers. She appeared on TV. She got thousands of letters with proposals of friendship and love. Some time all Soviet Union knew her. Maria is the name of a tractor heroine famous in the Soviet era, now alone in her cottage in the country. Questions of a TV presenter: * Maria Zharko is a delegate of the Supreme Soviet of Belarusian SSR and she is only 24 years old! Maria: * Well, at first, like everybody, I went to school. After finishing school, like many youngsters of my age, I failed entering University... I went to the city but there was nothing for me there... I didn't like the city. I decided to come back to my country village where I have been living now. I became a tractor-driver. Well, it wasn't easy at first... I used to come back home in tears for maybe two weeks or even longer... All people at work seemed to believe that I wouldn't be back the following day. But I went on and on. 7 years passed. Anyway, I don't want to leave my place. ... winners of competitions among collective farms and other agricultural enterprises are called on the stage... Please, you are welcome on the stage... Episode: Maria at home at the kitchen. Radio says "I am sending with the letter a part of my heart. Ah, if only we could meet! Why on earth have I seen you in a newspaper? How easily you've become a part of my heart! This is true... I am absolutely confused. I can't imagine you driving a tractor... If only you could simply answer me as a person to a person... It is not that difficult, is it? I'll be waiting."
