Maskarada

Television production of M. J. Lermontov's psychological drama in verse. A poetic-psychological composition depicting the fate of an elderly man Arbenin who succumbed to false social information, which drove him to a tragic act. His wife Nina lost her bracelet. Baroness Strahlov found it and gave it to Prince Zvjozdic as a token of her affection. This causes Arbenin such torments of jealousy that the only way out is the death of his wife. So he poisons her but at the end he realizes that he was wrong.
