Focuses on the often forgotten, personal stories and bravery of civilians and soldiers involved in the resistance against German forces, honoring the Slovak National Uprising, a significant armed insurrection during World War II. This short anthology film portrays the real stories of six ordinary people who acted with extraordinary courage in 1944. Even though the stories are different, they are intertwined, but their relationship will not be revealed until the end. The unknown participants in the uprising are portrayed by well-known personalities of today, which draws attention to the question that is being asked throughout the whole film: how would we behave if it was the year 1944?
