Storyline
Rouen, France, 1968: Daniele is an unconventional French teacher. Every morning she takes her pupil Gerard to school. He flirts with her and she reciprocates his affection. This brings the parents and the school authorities onto the scene.
French teacher Daniele uses unconventional teaching methods to win the sympathy of her sixth form class. Pupils and teacher discuss things in bars, organize demonstrations and meet up at Daniele's house. Gerard, whom she brings to school by car every morning, flirts with her. The divorced teacher reciprocates his affection and starts a relationship with him despite the age difference. For his parents, who initially liked Daniele, the teacher becomes a red rag. Although Gerard repeatedly emphasizes that he loves Daniele, his parents do not give up the fight against the relationship. They send Gerard to another school and report Daniele, who is then arrested. After several court hearings, Daniele is released. In the meantime, Gerard is admitted to a psychiatric clinic. With the help of classmates, the two manage to find a moment of togetherness time and again. But the situation escalates.
