O Xente, Pois Nao

Documentary filmed in 1973 about farmers in the town of Salgadinho in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It was the result of long, free-flowing conversations over a period of about 15 days with approximately ten families who were struggling against all sorts of difficulties, including drought. The film attempts to convey to the viewer the wisdom of these people and the brotherhood that unite them.
