Witold Kaczanowski is one of the most famous Polish artists who enjoys much greater fame abroad than in his country of birth. He was born in Poland and spent his childhood under German occupation. Since 1980, he has been living and working in the USA, where he has gathered a crowd of supporters and collectors of his work. The years spent in exile, numerous exhibitions and successes contributed to the recognition of his characteristic painting all over the world. Witold K.'s life and work are marked by loss - the artist lost his mother at an early age, experienced the horrors of World War II, and left his country of birth at an early age.
