Plot:
Rene (65) is an aging musician with a long-standing career performing under the stage name "Pianoman." Following what he believes to be his final show, he resolves to end his life but hesitates to do it immediately. To spare his wife and his estranged daughter, Mariana, the burden of dealing with his remains, he devises a plan: he will fill his keyboard case with stones, travel to Lake Titicaca, and shoot himself, disappearing into its depths. That same day, he crosses paths with his old friend Genaro (64), who brings news of a young promoter wanting to hire Pianoman for a gig at a local youth venue. Initially reluctant, Rene eventually agrees, seeing it as an opportunity to invite Mariana and mend their strained relationship. The promoters envision Rene performing in a light-up LED suit. Kala (28), an enthusiastic young woman working at the venue, takes him to try it on, only to discover the outfit has been stolen. Determined, Kala, Genaro, and Rene pile into a beat-up van to scour the chaotic streets of La Paz. Their search leads them to a skate-park party, where the trio drinks, celebrates, and ultimately flees from the police. Suit in hand, they head back to the venue for the performance. Along the way, Rene realizes that despite his age, an entire new generation admires his art. Kala helps him into the glowing suit, and a revitalized Pianoman steps onto the stage before an electrified crowd. Scanning the sea of faces for his daughter, Rene only spots Kala and Genaro among the young fans captivated by his music. Bathed in colorful LED lights, Rene caresses the keys once more, unleashing his melodies with the same passion he had as a young boy with his whole life ahead of him. Will this be his final show?
