Plot
Storyline
The sick King Jorgen worries about the marriage of his daughter Elena. The fairytale-like, dramatic confusion triggers a shimmering golden fire bird with its wondrous song every full moon night - it makes the king heal and brings the "good" prince as husband of the "good" Princess Elena.
A deadly battle erupts over Elena, the daughter of the sick King Jorgen. Three powerful men vie for her hand. One of them is the wizard Skeleton, who kidnaps Elena to make her his wife. If she does not agree to marry him, he threatens to steal the golden fire-bird, whose song saves the king from dying of grief over the loss of Elena. Elena's suitor, Prince Afron, embarks on dangerous adventures to free her from the wizard's clutches. But no sooner has he freed Elena than he is murdered by his rival, Prince Wolf. However, Afron has the good witch Jadwiga on his side, who snatches him from the realm of death with the water of life.
