Life smiles on Alessandro Scudieri, Vice Quaestor in Naples. Everything changes when he gets involved with his wife Paola in a shootout, where she loses the child they are expecting. Paola discovers that Alessandro was secretly following some investigations and their relationship goes into crisis. Alessandro decides to abandon normal life and transfer to UDIN, the special intervention unit that works at night.
