Plot
Storyline
A gang of Nazi bikers prepares for a race as sexual, sadistic, and occult images are cut together.
Governed by the zodiac sign of the Scorpio, which rules the genitals and the entire reproductive system, Kenneth Anger's "Scorpio Rising" resembles a fast-paced music video. Pivoting around grimy Brooklyn workshops and a group of young bikers preparing for a big night out, this experimental short becomes a vivid exploration of youthful rebellion, fashion statements, and, of course, male objectification. Oozing with iconic rock-and-roll sounds, powerful imagery stemming from immortal troubled idols--such as James Dean and Marlon Brando--highlights a stylised machismo.
