Sentimental Value

All sisters Nora and Agnes wanted was to conduct their mother's funeral in peace. What they got was an awkward reunion with Gustav, their now-faded auteur father who abandoned them to pursue his art. But now, of all times, he has chosen to re-emerge in their lives; in his eyes, years of estrangement is all water under the bridge. Yet Gustav comes empty-handed; he offers no emotional or financial support, nor any regret. Instead, he seeks to use the family home as a set for his comeback film and cast Nora for the leading role. Of course, she declines the offer. As young American actress Rachel Kemp replaces Nora, tensions simmer, forcing everyone to confront unresolved resentment, a painful past, and the little things of sentimental value in the attic.
