Sex with Sue

A profile of Sue Johanson is presented focusing largely on her work as a sex educator via her radio and then television call-in shows, Sunday Night Sex Show (1996) in Canada then Talk Sex with Sue Johanson (2002) in the US. Beyond archive footage from the two television shows and her personal appearances mirroring the two shows, much of the profile directly from Johanson's own mouth is via interviews conducted by her daughter, Jane Johanson, between 2016 and 2018 to capture her mother's thoughts as her memory was beginning to wane in her late eighties. All interviewees talk about Johanson's appeal in her matronly, non-sexual appearance being a safe voice for the frank, straight-forward and non-judgmental talk she was giving about sex in wanting to be a public service to those who felt they had no other safe place to get such information.
