Storyline
Before his death, Stanley Kubrick granted a rare interview to an unknown filmmaker, where he surprised the young director- and the world- by admitting his complicity in the greatest conspiracy in American history.
Stanley Kubrick enjoyed a freedom and power in Hollywood that no other director enjoyed. Often described as a genius, there were others who detected an artistic insecurity that explained his hundreds of takes and years between films. A month before his death, he sat for a rare interview where he admitted the reason he obtained such power - and regrettably explained the moral crime he committed in 1969 that lead to his retreat to a gated estate in the UK, and his reticence to give any interviews - until this one, that is.
