Geoff, a heartbroken musician in his thirties, finds himself struggling to move on after a painful breakup. Isolated in his small apartment, he turns to an AI simulation of his ex-girlfriend, a program designed to mimic her voice, personality, and even their shared memories. At first, the AI provides comfort, allowing Geoff to relive their best moments and escape the loneliness that has consumed him. But as he spends more time in this artificial relationship, the lines between past and present, real and simulated, begin to blur. Despite the illusion of connection, cracks start to form. The AI's responses feel increasingly hollow, unable to truly replicate the depth of human emotion. As Geoff becomes more dependent on the simulation, his real-world relationships suffer, and he withdraws further into his curated, digital fantasy. But no matter how much he tries to avoid reality, the truth remains-his ex is out there, living her life, moving on. When Geoff is finally forced to confront this, the illusion shatters. The AI, designed to keep him comfortable, can no longer provide what he truly needs. Left with nothing but a hollow echo of the past, he faces the painful realization that healing can't come from reliving what's already gone. To move forward, he must let go-not just of the AI, but of the version of love he's been clinging to.
