Meteor Man

The initial setting is a small town in the Southwestern United States in the year 1880. The young Charlie Cannon and his gold prospector father see a meteorite crash in the desert. They decide to visit the crash site, Charlie's father is killed instantly, while Charlie is exposed to mysterious rays emanating from the meteorite that cause him to begin aging rapidly. His mother, Ruth, decides to hides Charlie from the townspeople, who assume that he died in the desert. In 1887, Charlie escapes his confinement at his mother's house. He has grown into a hairy and aggressive man-beast. Charlie scares various people, but he mostly avoids attacking them. He makes an exception when he kills the abusive boyfriend of Kathy. He proceeds to kidnap the young woman. Ruth pays hush money to Kathy, but Kathy uses Charlie's apparent fondness for her to manipulate him. Kathy has plans to turn the "monster" into a loyal henchman.
