Plot Storyline

A happy-go-lucky husband has a wife bitten with social aspirations and this leads to several social mishaps.

Kalle Andersson owns and runs Andersson's Laundry and Ironing Establishment together with his constantly dissatisfied wife Maria, their daughter Elsa and his mother. Maria's sister Therese is married to businessman Garpe. Maria wants to raise her social status and starts hanging out with what she considers to be society.
