Plot
Storyline
In early 20th century Barcelona, little Teresa goes missing shocking the country. When police start investigating Enriqueta Marti, the "Vampiress of Raval", they cover a much more sinister affair.
Barcelona, 1912. Against the backdrop of a city defined by stark social and economic contrasts, the news of innocent Teresita's unaccountable disappearance spreads like wildfire, leaving open-mouthed the entire country. And as the shocking incident sparks passionate public indignation, the police arrest prime suspect Enriqueta Marti: a brothel owner, alleged witch, and the so-called Vampire of Barcelona. To shed light on the knotty case of the missing child, morphine-addicted local journalist Sebastia Comas ventures into the tangled El Raval neighbourhood, a gloomy urban maze of spine-chilling secrets. But in his quest for answers, a dark underworld of exploitation, abuse, and corruption unfolds. Can Barcelona handle the truth?
