George, a simple stagehand working at a theatre, fantasises about becoming a private investigator. Eager to learn the tricks of the trade, he immerses himself in a book on detective work. Meanwhile, moonlighting as a bellhop in a hotel, George hones his skills by discreetly observing suspicious individuals, particularly the captivating young women of Room 229. After all, the ladies love to strip down in front of everyone. But George's sleuthing abilities leave much to be desired. What happens if the playgirls discover the bellboy's steamy escapades?
