The Blonds

A woman hired to play the director investigates the fate of her parents, who were disappeared during Argentina's last military dictatorship. Rather than following a conventional testimonial narrative, the film layers fictional reconstruction, stop-motion animation with toys, crew footage, and interviews with former neighbors to explore how memory works across generations marked by historical trauma. The absence of the disappeared is rendered through symbolic recreations that reveal memory not as an objective record but as a collective and fragmentary construction.
