The Cheyenne Social Club

1867. Longtime friends John O'Hanlan and Harley Sullivan are drifting and aging career cowboys for hire, both but individually having thought about doing something other than cowboying with the remainder of their lives. They may have that opportunity when they travel on horseback from their home base of Texas to Wyoming upon John receiving a letter from lawyer Jedediah W. Willowby informing him not only of his brother D.J. O'Hanlan's passing, but that D.J. has left John his estate comprised of a business called the Cheyenne Social Club. Always considering D.J. worthless, John doesn't hold much hope of the business being his next life. While he does learn upon his arrival in Cheyenne that the business makes more money than John has ever had, he doesn't quite know what to make of it in his straight-laced mentality when he sees that it is a whorehouse. While Harley takes to the club and the girls all who have a heart of gold, John has mixed feelings. He enjoys the feeling of owning something of his own, especially property, enjoys the way many of the more prominent men of town treat him like royalty in owning the club, and will do almost anything for the girls, John may not be prepared to do the one thing the girls, led by Jenny, want the most, which is for him to be their employer in the club being their home. Things external to John factor into what he decides to do, those things including a risk to his and the girls' lives.
