West Pittston, Pennsylvania, 1986. With the Smurl haunting dividing the community, retired paranormal investigators Lorraine Warren and Ed Warren reluctantly agree to examine the terrifying supernatural occurrences that have allegedly been tormenting the family in their new home. Though initially hesitant to take on the case, the Warrens soon find themselves in grave danger when the death of a priest under suspicious circumstances entangles them with the Smurls' ordeal.
