Storyline
An American doctor and his wife, a former singing star, witness a murder while vacationing in Morocco, and are drawn into a twisting plot of international intrigue when their young son is kidnapped.
After attending a medical convention in Paris, Dr. Benjamin McKenna travels to Morocco to visit Casablanca, where he served in the war, and Marrakesh with his wife Josephine "Jo" Conway McKenna (Doris Day), who is a former actress and singer that quit her successful career to raise her son, and their son Hank. McKenna befriends the French Louis Bernard in a bus after an incident of Hank with a local where Bernard helped the boy. Then they befriend the British couple Lucy Drayton and Edward Drayton in a restaurant and sightsee Marrakesh with them. While at a square, Louis Bernard is murdered and gives McKenna instructions before he dies, and he takes note of the information. The local police officer asks the couple to go to the police station to give a statement and Edward goes with them to help the translation. Lucy takes Hank back to the hotel. While talking to the chief of police, McKenna receives a phone call threatening Hank if he discloses the information, and Edward heads to the hotel to see what is happening. But soon McKenna learns that the Draytons are involved in the kidnapping of Hank and McKenna decides to travel to London with Jo to follow the hints he have received from Bernard. On the arrival in London, Scotland Yard Inspector Buchanan asks him about the information he received from Louis Bernard, who was a spy that was investigating an assassination plan that would happen in London, but he omits saying that he spoke in French. Now McKenna will look for his son alone without the involvement of the authorities.
