Plot Storyline

A female cabaret artist has to leave Berlin, Germany, after an incident with the Nazis. Back in her motherland Mexico she tries and succeeds in remaking her career.

Fictional biography of Mexican folk singer Lucha Reyes. The film tells the story of her bisexual love affairs, her tortuous relationship with her mother, and her Bohemian life surrounded by many of the most famous personalities of the 1940s Mexico City nightlife.
