Plot Storyline

The exiled settler Alexander Ilyin persuades the goldmines owner Trifon Perfilyev to sponsor the expedition dedicated to the searches of "Sannikov Land", a legendary warm land behind the Polar circle.

Beginning of XX century. The exiled settler Aleksandr Ilyin persuades the gold miner Trifon Perfilyev, whose mine was depleted, to equip an expedition in search of Sannikov Land - the legendary warm land somewhere beyond the Arctic Circle. Perfilyev, in the hope that this land is rich in gold, agrees.
