Timeless Tidings of Joy

Ally runs her own tech company in Chicago, it to launch a new app in the new year. In an effort to ensure things go right with the launch, she plans on leading the launch team herself. Concurrently, she has an interested buyer in Timeless Tidings of Joy, the bespoke Christmas greeting store in Bloomington, IA that she inherited from her grandmother Joy upon her passing three years ago. Ally had always wished her grandmother had sold the store when she had the opportunity in Ally having seen her grandmother toil away there with little financial gain in it being an outdated business model. The only buyer Ally has ever known about is a man named Fred who wanted to buy it shortly after the end of WWII. As such, Ally never understood why her grandmother would leave her the store, this opportunity which she cannot pass up regardless of its terms. In going to the store for the first time since she inherited it, she also meets for the first time the manager, Bennett, who she finds is a younger male version of Joy in he seeing the timeless quality of designing these Christmas greetings in he having run from his family, who has always been about the bottom line, much like Ally. In a mysterious incident shortly after Ally's arrival at the store, she and Bennett get caught in a time warp where they are transported back to that post-WWII era when Fred wanted to buy the store. Ally believes the cosmos are giving her a chance to give her grandmother a better life by encouraging her to sell the store to Fred, it the only way that she and Bennett will be able to return to present day. As Ally works on this mission, with Bennett dealing with Fred, they both come to understand that they were sent back to deal with their own demons.
