Plot Storyline

The story of one of the most important Brazilian heroes, Joaquim Jose da Silva Xavier, known as Tiradentes. He was the leader of a group who tried to proclaim Brazil's Independence from Portugal in 1789. But he was betrayed by one of his comrades and hanged.

A new view of history. Here, the real leader of the "Inconfidencia Mineira" is not Tiradentes, but one rich man, who were Governor's friend and wasn't even arrested. Tiradentes was hang just for being poor, and the other "inconfidentes" were deported. Even the Governor supported the rebellion, but the news arrived in Portugal and he decided to arrest all of them.
